Temporary Disinfectant Conversion from Chloramine to Free Chlorine

Harris County WCID 1 public water system, (PWS) ID TX-1010159, will temporarily convert the disinfectant used in the distribution system from chloramine to free chlorine. The conversion will begin on July 16, 2026, and continue through August 17, 2026. During this period, you may experience taste and odor changes associated with this type of temporary disinfectant conversion.
